Intermediate Care

Victor had a rough time last night. He continued to receive increasing amounts of oxygen to keep his blood oxygenation level about the same. He sleep between midnight and 2am while he had the magnesium sulfate running down his IV (magnesium sulfate tends to sedate children) which was meant to open up his bronchial tubes and facilitate breathing. But his heart rate was high and just could not sleep after that, though he was desperately trying (Imagine jogging or riding bike and trying to sleep at the same time). After a couple of scares with the possibility of being intubated, due to low oxygen stats, he finally manage to fall sleep in Paul's arms from 5 to 7am and keep his oxygenation level at a decent percentage. His oxygenation stats were much improved during the day and he is a little calmer now. Let's pray for a more restful night tonight.
