Physical therapy at Comp Rehab, Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, has been one of the most rewarding experiences we have had regarding little Victor's development. Comp Rehab's whole pediatric therapy team is composed of highly trained individuals who are not only very good at what they do but also good people first and foremost. From day one Heather Vye, Victor's wonderful physical therapist since he was 13 months old, worked hard to strengthen muscles Victor would need for crawling, transition, walking, and other skills, in a fun and playful way. Victor was always a good sport and work hard himself, often grunting from the energy it would take to do certain things, until his muscles would tremble slightly from being tired. This always gave Heather a big smile on her face. They made a good team -- we used to say that she was Victor's private personal trainer!
We'll now see Heather only a few times a year so she can check on his progress and adjust his orthodics as needed. We miss her though and will always count her among our good friends. Thank you Heather!
